Negro Cashbook is the current bookkeeping product in the Negro family. Negro Ledger is coming soon and is intended to replace Cashbook in the future. This is our product direction, not a launch announcement.

Everyday bookkeeping starts with consistent records of business activity. Cashbook is the current place for this part of the Negro ecosystem, alongside Invoice for customer billing and Finance for business financial activity.

Why Ledger is next

The aim is to develop the bookkeeping side of Negro around a clearer ledger-based direction. We want the next product to support the wider vision of connected business software while keeping everyday work understandable. The final feature set and release schedule have not been announced.

What this means for current users

Ledger is not presented as available today. Cashbook remains the current product. This update does not announce an automatic migration, a shutdown date or a guarantee about transferring records. Details of a future transition will need to be communicated before users are asked to act.

Good records still matter

Whichever tool you use, keep records consistent and retain the documents that explain each business transaction. A product change is easier to evaluate when your existing records are organised and your requirements are clear.
